Applications:
The GT-Multifunctional enhancer is a dry strength agent that’s particularly effective when applied to paper manufactured in the neutral pH range. The product does not increase the content of adsorbed organic halogen derivatives in wastewater. It does not contribute to effluent BOD, COD and is formaldehyde-free.
GT-Multifunctional enhancer is soluble in water, despite its high molecular weight. Its high cationicity causes it to be absorbed into the chemical pulp. It can be used as a dry strength agent for alltypes of paper. Depending on the level of dry strength required, it is normally added to the pulp in a dosage range from 0.2% and 4 %, referred to as dry paste. Its cationic charge allows it to be absorbed on cellulose fibers. It can be used as a dry hardening agent for any type of paper. Depending on the required strength, usually from 0.1% to 2% is added to the thick mass, based on the dry mass of raw materials. Another effect is that it increases retention and promotes drainage.
GT-Multifunctional enhancer is normally applied alone, but anionic substances such as CMC or PAM can be used in combination wth GT-Multifunctional enhancer to improve dry strength.
Storage:
GT-Multifunctional enhancer should be protected from direct sunlight. It should be stored in cool places and protected from freezing. The inside of storage tanks should be kept saturated with water vapor.
