GPAM Dry strength / temporary wet strength resin

GPAM is a high solids liquid cationic wet-end additive designed to give dry tensile strength.
In addition, it can provide wet tensile sheet properties with optimum wet tensile decay,
acceptable for virgin & recycled bath tissue, facial, napkin and away-from-home towel grades

Appearance: Clear liquid
Solids content: 11 % ± 0.5 %
pH: 3 to 4
Viscosity (23 °C): 15 – 30 mPa.S
Ionicity: cationic
Shelf life (at 25 °C): 90 days

Application
It can provide superior strength improvements over current G-PAM chemistry,
providing dosage reduction while maintaining specifications.
It is effective in systems where the operating pH range is between pH 4.5 to 8.5.
The product is “pump-&-go”, and can provide benefits at as low as 0.05 % on dry fibre, depending on conditions & performance objectives.
It should be added using a corrosion resistant, positive displacement pump.
Dilution of the product with fresh clean water prior to dosage is recommended.
Application points are dependent upon system configuration. Our technical service team will provide support to determine the optimum dosing point and dosage level, in order to maximize the performance.

Package, storage and handling
It is packed & delivered in IBC.
It is mildly acidic as supplied and should be stored and handled in corrosion resistant equipment.
Stainless steel, PVC & glass are satisfactory.
It has a shelf life of 90 days at 25 °C. At 35 °C, the shelf life is 60 days.

GPAM used in package paper:
As dry strength agent, it has quite good effect to increase bursting factor and tensile strength,
it also has the advantage to improve the pulp drainage

GPAM used in tissue paper:
It is very environmental, especially for toilet paper which need flush, that is temporary wet strength.
As wet strength agent, it can help to decrease the PAE resin wet strength agent using quantity,
When GPAM used in tissue paper production, it can also help to decrease long fibre using quantity, also increase the pulp refining energy cost.
